Celebrating 50 Years with Hythe Dementia Group

We recently had the pleasure of spending time with the Hythe Dementia Group at the HUB, helping to celebrate their 50th year with a very special mosaic project.

During our visit, each member of the group created their own personal mosaic to take home — a piece that reflected their individuality, creativity, and personal expression. Alongside this, everyone contributed to a larger community mosaic designed to mark this important milestone.

It was a truly collaborative piece, with each section coming together to form something meaningful and full of character. Seeing how every individual contribution became part of a shared artwork made the project especially memorable.

The session itself was relaxed, welcoming, and full of conversation. There was a real sense of enjoyment throughout, with people taking their time, supporting one another, and enjoying the creative process together.

Projects like this highlight just how powerful creativity can be — not just in making something tangible, but in bringing people together, encouraging confidence, and creating a sense of connection.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of such a special celebration and to have worked alongside such a wonderful group.
