Coffee, Cake, ‘n’ Craft – Glass Kaleidoscope

Colour, reflection, and a sense of quiet wonder lie at the heart of this enchanting glass workshop. In this relaxed Coffee, Cake, ’n’ Craft session, you’ll design and assemble your own fully working glass kaleidoscope — a piece that blends craftsmanship, creativity, and a touch of magic.

Guided step by step by an experienced tutor, you’ll be led through each stage of the process, from constructing the viewing tube and positioning the mirrors to decorating the exterior with vibrant, patterned glass. Using coloured and textured pieces, you’ll create an outer design that’s just as striking as the shifting patterns inside.

Once assembled, you’ll be able to look through your kaleidoscope and watch as each gentle turn reveals an ever-changing display of shapes and colour. No two are ever the same, making each finished piece a truly personal and mesmerising object.

This welcoming workshop is suitable for complete beginners and anyone keen to try something a little different. With small group sizes, you’ll have time to work at your own pace, enjoy friendly guidance, and relax with unlimited coffee and plenty of cake.
