Soft wool, gentle colour, and the slow rhythm of felt-making make this workshop a wonderfully absorbing experience. In this relaxed Coffee, Cake, ’n’ Craft session, you’ll create your own mini felt bag using traditional wet felting techniques, shaping and building the fabric by hand to form a sturdy, characterful piece.
Guided by an experienced tutor, you’ll explore how to layer colourful wool fibres, use water and soap to bind them together, and shape your bag as it takes form. Once the base is felted, you’ll have the option to add decorative details such as patterns or textured embellishments, allowing you to personalise your design and make it completely your own.
This welcoming workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have tried felting before. With small group sizes, you’ll enjoy plenty of individual guidance and time to work at your own pace. Held as part of our Coffee, Cake, ’n’ Craft series every Friday, it’s a lovely way to unwind, enjoy good company, and get hands-on with a traditional craft. All tools and materials are included.
